Zenith El Primero

This was introduced in the year 1969 and there were two versions of it. This was the first automatic chronograph movement that ticked with the frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. This type of chronograph was used by the only Zenith earlier but gradually, over a period of time, many other brands started using EL Primero chronograph.

Lemania 5100

With a column wheel mechanism and some plastic parts inside, this is rather an ugly specimen of a chronograph. It has an easy to read interface with a 24-hour hand and a day-date feature. The brand that used this for a long time was Tutima.

Lemania 2310

This is another Lemania we are talking about but this piece is very different from the previous one. This chronograph is better named as Oemgas Caliber 321 as this was used in the first watches from Omega Speedmaster. Apart from Omega, Patek Philippe also used this in its collection of watches.

Rolex 4130

This is a smartly engineered chronograph chronometer which is as solid as a rock. This was designed to meet the demands of Rolex and the components were further reduced by Rolex and a new patented solution was created for chronograph mechanism. The space saved was used to a house a mainspring to increase the power reserve capacity.

Omega Caliber 9300

Omega introduced this model and this was proudly in-house manufacturing. This contains the co-axial escapement, a silicon balance spring, a column-wheel mechanism. This chronograph comes with a 60-hour powerhouse. Omega is the only brand, which has used this.

TAG Heuer Caliber 1969

Originally, this was manufactured by Seiko but later TAG Heuer modified it in Switzerland. Recently, the company has introduced another chronograph that refers to the year when TAG manufactured its first automatic chronograph movement. This was a classic movement introduced by TAG.

Patek Philippe CHR 29-535 PS Q

The last in our list for today is this Caliber CHR 29-535 PS Q, which was developed by Patek Phillipe and it was solely an in-house development. The movement featured not only a chronograph but it also consisted of split seconds function and a perpetual calendar. It may be relatively small as compared to others but it is quite thick.
